Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct lectures and tutorial sessions for students in accordance with the schedule set by the School.

2. Provide guidance to students/mentees through student activities, counselling sessions, or other related engagements.

3. Prepare continuous and final assessment questions, and carry out marking and grading for relevant courses in accordance with established academic policies and regulations.

4. Serve as an examination invigilator for all programmes offered by the College.

5. Perform administrative duties related to the Academic Department as required and based on current instructions.

6. Serve as a committee member at the School, Department, or College level for academic development purposes, including the preparation of MQA-related documentation.

7. Attend meetings organised by the School, Department, and College as required.

8. Engage in research, academic writing, conference presentations, and scholarly publications.

9. Organise and participate in activities that promote academic programmes.

10. Undertake any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualification

Position: Lecturer – Hajj and Umrah Programme

1. Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism, Business Administration, Islamic Studies, Islamic Studies and Arabic Language, Shariah, Fiqh and Usul, or any related field recognized by the Government of Malaysia from a local higher education institution or an equivalent qualification.

2. Have at least one (1) year of industry experience in tourism, hospitality, or the hajj and umrah sector.

3. Professional certification, such as Train the Trainer (HRDF/HRD Corp), is an added advantage.

 

DR. RUZIAH BINTI GHAZALI

YBhg. Dr. Ruziah Binti Ghazali is a prominent leader in Malaysia’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, recognized with the Special Award for Master Coach in Education Development from TVETecoUSIM. She advocates for Islamic TVET and supports individuals with disabilities, contributing to the book “Nothing is Impossible – Success Stories of Persons with Disabilities.”

As a scholar and Islamic Woman Entrepreneur, she focuses on women’s and community development and was honored as Tokoh Saidatina Aishah during National Women’s Day in 2021.

Dr. Ruziah holds a PhD in Educational Development from Universiti Putra Malaysia, a Master of Science in Educational Science, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Islamic Studies from the University of Malaya. She is also a licensed Company Secretary and Tax Agent.
