Diploma in Digital Entrepreneurship (DKD)

Digital entrepreneurship plays a vital role in Malaysia as it significantly contributes to economic growth, job creation, and technological development. Therefore, the School of Accounting, Management and Technology (SPPT) offers the Diploma in Digital Entrepreneurship (DKD). Throughout the 7 semester programme, students will be exposed to various entrepreneurship and technology-related courses such as Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Information Management Systems and other relevant courses.

Graduates of this programme will be able to:

• Apply broad and relevant principles and theories in digital entrepreneurship professionally.
• Apply higher-order thinking skills in solving problems across various organisational aspects.
• Practise entrepreneurship skills by linking them to real industry situations.
• Demonstrate effective interaction and collaboration skills both individually and in teams.
• Demonstrate an effective communicate skills in writing and presentations.
• Master digital business skills relevant to employment or further studies.
• Analyse and interpret data through appropriate numerical and graphical techniques.
• Show accountability in business operations with minimal guidance.
• Demonstrate the ability for lifelong learning and adaptability to technological changes.
• Practise sustainable and socially responsible business strategies in the digital world.
• Uphold ethics and high social responsibility in managing digital business operations and regulations.

Applicants must meet any one of the following:

• Passed SPM or equivalent with at least three (3) credits in any subjects; OR
• Passed STPM with at least Grade C (NGMP 2.0) in any subject or equivalent; OR
• Passed STAM with at least Maqbul grade or equivalent; OR
• Passed Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 in a related field; OR
• Passed Certificate [Level 3, Malaysian Qualifications Framework,MQF] in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
• Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia
• International Students: Minimum MUET Band 3 or equivalent to The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) (High B1).

Graduates of Diploma in Digital Entrepreneurship have wide career opportunities in business, digital technology, and entrepreneurial industries. They may start their own businesses or work in industries such as technology, retail, education, and finance which related to digital transformation and marketing. Possible job roles include digital entrepreneur, digital marketing executive, data analyst, IT project executive, social media specialist, digital content / E-commerce developer.

Graduates of the Diploma in Digital Entrepreneurship can pursue higher education at the Bachelor’s Degree level, particularly in Entrepreneurship, Digital Marketing, E-Commerce, Business IT, Management or any related fields at public or private universities.
