Job Responsibilities

Conduct lectures and tutorials for students according to the schedule set by the Department.
Guide students through official departmental and/or college programmes (e.g., mentor-mentee programme).
Provide academic guidance to students during consultation hours.
Prepare examination questions, carry out marking and grading for relevant subjects in accordance with academic regulations.
Serve as an invigilator for examinations conducted by the college.
Participate in writing and publication activities to strengthen academic scholarship.
Comply with regulations and standards set by the college, agencies, and professional bodies.
Perform administrative duties under the Academic & Research Department as required.
Serve on committees established by the Department and/or college for academic and institutional development.
Attend meetings of the Academic & Research Department and the college.
Engage in activities to promote academic programmes.
Participate in community development activities when required.
Carry out other duties as assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualification

Possess at least a Master’s Degree in Arabic Language (Linguistics or Literature), a Bachelor’s Degree in Arabic Language, or Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the government.
Teaching experience in the relevant field; industry/professional experience will be an added advantage.
Ability to think creatively and critically, strong management skills, committed to teamwork, analytical, flexible, proactive, and able to collaborate with all levels of staff and external agencies.
Knowledgeable and proficient in computer use, particularly Microsoft Office applications.
