The Diploma in Information Technology or its short name DITE is a program under the School of Accounting, Management and Technology, MAIWP Professional College. The first intake was in September 2018. The purpose of the DITE programme is to produce graduates who are competent in the field of information technology, competitive to meet the needs of employers and industries in Malaysia as well as internationally. This is in line with the emergence of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 as a transition point from the digital era to the physical cyber era. This situation will trigger the existence of remote or hybrid employment opportunities in some industries nowadays.
DITE graduates are trained to focus on the application, use, and configuration needs of organizations across a broad spectrum. The Information Technology Professionals group has a specific focus on meeting the needs of organizations related to Computing Technology. They assume will take the responsibility of selecting the appropriate hardware and software for the organization, integrating it with the organization’s needs and its infrastructure, and installing, customizing, and maintaining those applications for computer users in the organization.
As such, DITE graduates are able to meet the job market that requires highly skilled, creative and critically minded individuals or workforce. KPMAIWP is moving forward as a flexible, future-ready higher education institution, ensuring its students thrive and are not left behind in today’s physical–cyber era.
The program will produce graduates who:
i. Possess SPM with at least THREE (3) credits in any subjects (inclusive of Mathematics or any equivalent qualification); OR
ii. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum Grade C of Grade Point (GP) 2.00 in a subject and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level (or Mathematics equivalent to SPM); OR
iii. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul (Pass) and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level (or Mathematics equivalent to SPM); OR
iv. Possess SKM Level 3 in a related field. (Candidates without Mathematics can be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment to determine their competencies in Mathematics that are equivalent to SPM level); OR
v. A Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in a related field with at least a CGPA of 2.00; OR
vi. Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government. (Candidates can be admitted if their admission qualification contains Mathematics subject (s) equivalent to Mathematics at the SPM level. Those without a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent can be admitted but required to take and pass reinforcement Mathematics subject. The reinforcement Mathematics subject must be offered in the first semester or before enrolment with unconditional offer).
Notes:
● Candidates with a pass in Mathematics at the SPM level (or Mathematics equivalent to SPM) may be admitted if their admission qualification contains Mathematics subject(s) equivalent to Mathematics at the SPM level.
● Candidates with a pass in Mathematics at SPM level (or Mathematics equivalent to SPM) and without a Mathematics subject in their admission qualification need to take and pass the reinforcement Mathematics subject that equivalent to the SPM level. The reinforcement Mathematics subject must be offered in the first semester or before enrolment with unconditional offer.
● Candidates with a credit in Computing-related subject(s) at the SPM level (or equivalent to SPM level) may be given preferential consideration.

Graduates of the Diploma in Information Technology can continue their studies to the Bachelor’s degree level at any public university and private university that offers relevant programmes.

Muhammad Tarmizi is a visionary technology leader and software engineer with extensive experience in software development, mobile applications, and cloud-based solutions. As the Chief Executive Officer of Tarsoft Sdn Bhd, he has successfully transformed the company into a leading software house and training center, empowering businesses and students alike with innovative digital solutions.
With a strong background in PHP Laravel Framework, REST Architecture, and mobile app development using both Ionic and Flutter, Tarmizi has proven his expertise through years of hands-on work in the IT industry. His career includes leadership roles at several technology firms, such as MedKad Sdn Bhd, NRA Technology, and Actziebit Sdn Bhd, where he spearheaded projects ranging from healthcare platforms to drone software and hotel booking engines.
Beyond his technical work, Tarmizi has made a significant impact as a trainer and coach, conducting numerous professional courses and workshops for government agencies, universities, and corporations. His training covers Laravel, mobile app development, and cloud integration, helping to upskill Malaysia’s digital workforce.
His achievements have earned him national and international recognition. He was named among the Top Successful People in Malaysia by Britishpedia, featured in The Sun Daily as “The Problem Solver,” and honored with multiple awards, including the Diplomat Award (Bronze) from Digi Telecommunications and Anugerah Gelaran Al-Fateh from MANDATE.
As a committed innovator, Tarmizi continues to lead projects such as Passkad.MY, Lejar.MY, and Clinical, providing practical solutions for SMEs and the healthcare sector. With his passion for technology, leadership, and training, Tarmizi embodies the spirit of a modern digital entrepreneur who bridges innovation and impact.

YUHANIS BINTI OMAR
Yuhanis binti Omar is a dedicated academic and technology professional with over two decades of experience in higher education and the IT industry. She currently serves as a Lecturer at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT), where she also leads research initiatives and mentors students in the fields of software engineering, data science, and information systems. Her long-standing commitment to education and research reflects her passion for nurturing future technology leaders.
Yuhanis holds a Master of Science in Information Technology from Universiti Teknologi MARA and a Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons.) from Universiti Utara Malaysia. She is in the final stage of her PhD. at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), where her research focuses on mixed reality and serious games for self-directed learning. Her innovative work in this area has already earned recognition, including a Gold Award at the Research and Innovation Week 2020 in Terengganu.
With 23 years of teaching and 28 years of working experience, Yuhanis has taught a wide range of courses from software engineering and programming to database management, e-commerce, and mobile applications. Her expertise spans programming languages such as C, C++, Java, as well as database systems and GIS technologies. She has also published numerous papers in international conferences and journals, contributing to the fields of e-learning, augmented reality, and information systems.
Beyond teaching, Yuhanis has served in various leadership and administrative roles, including Head of Section, Cluster Leader, Academic Advisor, and Subject Matter Expert at UniKL. She is also a member of professional bodies such as the Malaysian Information Technology Society (MITS) and the Malaysian Board of Technologists.
Through her extensive academic, research, and professional contributions, Yuhanis stands out as an inspiring educator, researcher, and technologist dedicated to advancing digital education and innovation in Malaysia.

YBhg. Dr. Ruziah Binti Ghazali is a prominent leader in Malaysia’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, recognized with the Special Award for Master Coach in Education Development from TVETecoUSIM. She advocates for Islamic TVET and supports individuals with disabilities, contributing to the book “Nothing is Impossible – Success Stories of Persons with Disabilities.”
As a scholar and Islamic Woman Entrepreneur, she focuses on women’s and community development and was honored as Tokoh Saidatina Aishah during National Women’s Day in 2021.
Dr. Ruziah holds a PhD in Educational Development from Universiti Putra Malaysia, a Master of Science in Educational Science, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Islamic Studies from the University of Malaya. She is also a licensed Company Secretary and Tax Agent.
