25 August 2025, Kuala Lumpur – MAIWP Professional College (KPMAIWP) hosted Majlis Sinergi Barakah today witnessed the Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between KPMAIWPs and 13 agencies:
1. QTF Consulting
2. FamilyMart Malaysia
3. IKHLAS by AirAsia (Ikhlas.com)
4. Social Security Organisation (PERKESO)
5. National Youth Cooperative of Malaysia (KOBENA)
6. Malaysian Nature Society (MNS)
7. Al-Imam Ash-Shafie Mosque (MAIAS)
8. Malaysian Waqf Foundation (YWM)
9. Institute of Tahfiz Al-Quran Negeri Sembilan (ITQAN) / Department of Islamic Affairs of Negeri Sembilan (JHEAINS)
10. Albukhary International University (AIU)
11. Islamic University of Selangor (UIS)
12. MAIWP International University College (UCMI)
13. Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM)
In addition to that, Majlis Sinergi Barakah also strengthened the strategic planning between KPMAIWP and the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) through a separately signed MoA. This Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) solidifies the continuation restructuring initiative of Institut Kemahiran Baitulmal (IKB) under the auspices of Baitulmal Professional College Kuala Lumpur (KPBKL), leading to the establishment of MAIWP Professional College (KPMAIWP). The renaming was officiated by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), YB Senator Dato’ Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Na’im bin Haji Mokhtar.
KPMAIWP also received donations from six (6) corporate agencies, with a total contribution amounting to RM428,800.00 during the event. The breakdown of contributions is as follows:
1. Etiqa Insurance and Takaful : RM 200,000.00
2. Hospital PUSRAWI Sdn. Bhd. : RM 75,000.00
3. ASNB Wakalah Sdn. Bhd. : RM 73,800.00
4. Gas Malaysia Berhad : RM 50,000.00
5. Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad : RM 20,000.00
6. Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad : RM 10,000.00
These contributions were symbolically presented through mock cheque handovers, witnessed by YB Senator Dato’ Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Na’im bin Haji Mokhtar, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), who also officiated the event.
The Majlis Sinergi Barakah was further graced by the presence of leader from participating organisations and agencies. Among those present were YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Syed Zainal Abidin bin Syed Mohamed Tahir (MAIWP Members), YBhg. Datuk Nizam bin Haji Yahya, Acting Chief Executive Officer of MAIWP, YBrs. Tuan Haji Zuri Zabuddin bin Budiman, Chairman of KPMAIWP along with other Board Members, and YBrs. Associate Professor Dr. Haji Mohammad Firdaus Low bin Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of KPMAIWP.
