KUALA LUMPUR, 25 September 2025 – A sense of purpose and community filled the grounds of MAIWP Professional College (KPMAIWP) as YB Senator Dato’ Setia Dr. Hj. Mohd Na’im bin Hj. Mokhtar, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), officially inaugurated the Special Pathway connecting KPMAIWP to Masjid Al-Imam Ash-Shafie (MAIAS).
The pathway is set to provide KPMAIWP students with easier access to mosque activities and spiritual programs, while also offering greater convenience for all users, most of whom are students of the college.
The launch was held alongside the Sustainable Wellbeing Event, which featured a series of meaningful activities designed to foster environmental awareness and spiritual growth. Highlights included:

Tree Planting Ceremony: In collaboration with the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS), students and staff planted trees as a symbol of KPMAIWP’s commitment to sustainability. The ceremony also marked the official launch of the Campus Greening Programs, with 1,000 trees sponsored by MNS.

Zuhur Prayers: Students participated in prayers at Masjid Al-Imam Ash-Shafie, accompanied by a short religious talk emphasizing the importance of knowledge, ethics, and sustainable living.
The event was attended by strategic partners and leaders, including YBhg. Datuk Syed Kamarulzaman bin Syed Kabeer, Chairman of MAIWP; YBhg. Datuk Nizam bin Haji Yahya, Acting Chief Executive Officer of MAIWP; YBrs. Tuan Haji Zuri Zabuddin bin Budiman, Chairman of KPMAIWP; and Dr. Haji Mohammad Firdaus Low bin Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of KPMAIWP.
The initiative underscores KPMAIWP’s commitment not only to academic excellence but also to nurturing the spiritual and environmental consciousness of its students, reflecting a holistic approach to education and community development.
